Apple may launch \'MacBook Ultra\' this fall, with first touchscreen and OLED: reports

Apple may introduce a new laptop, the MacBook Ultra, this fall, reports said. The device is expected to be thinner and lighter than the MacBook Pro and could mark an expansion of Apple’s Ultra product line. Reports also point to a major hardware redesign, possible changes to ports, and the addition of touch input on a Mac for the first time. It may also adopt OLED and a new camera cutout.

Broadcast media telecoms commission fails to launch hearing on YTN top shareholder as opposition members boycott

South Korea’s Broadcast Media and Telecommunications Commission was unable to vote to begin a hearing on whether to cancel approval of Eugene ENT’s change in its status as YTN’s largest shareholder after failing to meet a quorum. Opposition-nominated members Choi Soo-young and Lee Sang-geun refused to take part and left, saying courts should rule first. Remaining members said a hearing is needed to hear the company’s views and pledged to revisit the issue.

IBK Industrial Bank to provide 200 billion won in financial support to young startups

IBK Industrial Bank said it will provide 200 billion won in financial support for promising startups led by young entrepreneurs, in partnership with the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund. The bank said it signed a business agreement on Aug. 20 and will launch the IBK Promising Youth Startup Loan on Aug. 21. Eligible firms are those that receive guarantee certificates from the fund. The bank will offer working capital and facility funding of up to 3 billion won per company, with interest rate cuts of up to 1.5 percentage points.
