XRP could see a big move in the coming weeks, a forecast said.

On Sept. 30, blockchain outlet The Crypto Basic reported that trader Ray said XRP was preparing for a strong rise and that a sharp jump could leave some investors startled by an unexpected move.

Ray did not give a specific timing for a rise or a definite price target. He did, however, mark $2 and $4 as key upper zones on a TradingView chart he shared, and set $2.60 as a recovery target.

On the chart, XRP went through a long-term downtrend that began after a rebound in July 2025. Over the following months, it posted a pattern of lower highs and lower lows. In May 2026, it slipped below the bottom of a falling channel and entered a sideways range. Over the summer, $1.00 acted as support and it mostly traded in a $1.00 to $1.20 range.

In August, that support level briefly broke. XRP fell to $0.978 on Bybit and to $0.93 on Bitrue. It rebounded a few days later and climbed to near $1.70 in the third week of August.

The problem was that the uptrend did not last long. XRP gave back most of its gains around $1.70 and slid again to $1.246. In September, it showed a gentler upward move than before and is now above $1.50, forming a support zone around $1.40 to $1.50.

The next step depends on whether buying interest can keep its momentum and lift prices further. Some expect the recent rebound could be a precursor to a larger upward move, but the direction is not yet settled.

The XRP community is also putting forward more aggressive long-term projections. Software engineer Vincent Van Code (빈센트 반 코드) said this week XRP could reach more than $100 within the next 3 years. He said XRP would not go straight to $100, but would trend higher overall while repeating big ups and downs.

Vincent Van Code cited bitcoin and ether as comparative cases that surged on wider adoption and rising investor interest. He said the current price does not fully reflect XRP's future value, and that wider adoption, greater real-world use, institutional investment and improved accessibility could lift future demand.

He stressed that the $100 projection was only a personal expectation and did not guarantee it would happen. Given XRP's circulating supply of about 63 billion tokens, its market capitalisation would reach about $6.3 trillion at $100 per token. He said demand and liquidity would need to expand sharply to support that.

Ultimately, the market's near-term focus is on whether the $1.40 to $1.50 support holds and whether it can break through the $2 and $2.60 zones. While long-term bullish views are growing, whether this turns into a real uptrend is expected to depend on continued buying interest.
