Jane Street Group, a major U.S. trading firm, increased its holdings of shares in Bitwise\'s XRP spot exchange-traded fund to more than 1.2 million, according to a filing. CoinPost reported the position jumped about 60-fold from 20,605 shares three months earlier. The move appeared in Jane Street’s 2026 second-quarter Form 13F filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The firm also reported exposure to XRP spot ETFs run by Franklin Templeton, Grayscale, Canary Capital and 21Shares.

U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren has asked the Commerce Department to explain whether crypto interests tied to President Donald Trump influenced steps to loosen export restrictions on AI semiconductors for the United Arab Emirates. In a letter to Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, Warren questioned whether policy decisions involved conflicts of interest after UAE-linked entities invested in World Liberty Financial and used its USD1 stablecoin in a Binance deal. Congress is also reviewing a possible pardon for former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao.
