Google in talks with Marvell to co-develop inference-focused TPU and new memory processing unit

One chip is a memory processing unit designed to work with Google\'s tensor processing units, splitting AI workloads by compute and memory demands. The other is a new TPU specialised for running AI models. The companies aim to finalise the design as early as next year and begin trial production.
