SK Telecom bets on \'AI factory\' with Nvidia to push into AI infrastructure
SK Telecom is stepping up its push into the AI infrastructure market through cooperation with Nvidia, with plans to run an Nvidia DSX-based “AI factory” next year and later expand it to gigawatt scale. SK Telecom aims to combine SK Broadband’s data centre operations with Nvidia GPUs, networks and software. It also highlights its AI full-stack capabilities, while industry sources point to power supply, investment costs and customer demand as challenges.

Naver Cloud aims to be \'salt-like\' AI infrastructure company in global market
Naver Cloud plans to target the global business-to-business market by leveraging its capabilities in operating AI infrastructure, aiming to meet rising demand in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Japan and Europe. CEO Kim Yu-won said competition in AI is shifting from models to infrastructure and that competitiveness requires combining models, GPUs, cloud, data centres, security and service application capabilities. The company will pursue customised AI infrastructure and expand work with Dell Technologies.

SKT model adopted for military AI development as Dokpamo use bears fruit
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT, the Ministry of National Defense and SK Telecom will work together to use a homegrown AI foundation model in the defence sector. The three signed an agreement on May 14 at SKT\'s Euljiro Tower. The defence ministry will develop a defence-specialised AI model using SKT capabilities from an elite team in the government-led project. Cooperation includes data, testing and GPU support linked to a national AI project.
