Tim Draper says BTC could reach $250,000 within 18 months. What is his basis?
Venture capitalist Tim Draper has again said bitcoin could reach $250,000 within 18 months, citing inflation pressure and a weakening dollar. He linked the view to shifts in the macro environment and said even higher levels could be possible if bitcoin rises while the dollar falls. Draper also revisited his bitcoin investing history, including losses tied to Mt. Gox and a 2014 U.S. Marshals Service auction purchase.

Fox News to use Kalshi prediction market data on air, excluding sports
Prediction market platform Kalshi will supply prediction market data to Fox Corporation for use across Fox News, Fox Business Network, Fox Weather and Fox One, The Block Crypto reported. Fox Sports is excluded. Kalshi will integrate the data into Fox broadcast and digital content and support real-time data visualisations on political, economic, weather and cultural issues. A Kalshi spokesperson said sports data was not included for now.

Coinbase says it cannot support current draft as backlash leaves U.S. Clarity Act in limbo
The U.S. digital asset market structure bill known as the Clarity Act has stalled ahead of the Senate as lawmakers clash over whether stablecoins can pay interest. As of April 2, it had not passed a Senate Banking Committee markup. The bill passed the House on July 17, 2025 by 294 to 134, but the Senate schedule has been delayed. Disputes also remain over DeFi provisions, ethics rules and legislative hurdles including a 60-vote Senate threshold.
