Cybersecurity stocks fall after news of Anthropic\'s new AI model \'Claude Mythos\'
U.S. cybersecurity-related stocks fell across the board in pre-market trading after information leaked about a new AI model Anthropic is developing. On March 27, financial information outlet Zerohedge reported declines in CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, Zscaler, Fortinet, Okta and Cloudflare. The Global X Cybersecurity ETF also fell. The drops reflected concern that tools offered by AI companies could erode demand for existing security vendors’ products.

Security hot issue: Leading AI firms step up security push in round two
Moves by leading AI model developers to expand into cybersecurity are gathering pace. Anthropic has rolled out Claude Code Security and an automated code review feature to help block errors and vulnerabilities. OpenAI has unveiled the Codex Security application security agent and announced an acquisition of AI security startup Promptfoo. LG Uplus teams up with Fortinet to develop next-generation security services
LG Uplus is partnering with global cybersecurity company Fortinet to roll out cloud-based security services. The companies signed an MOU at MWC26 in Barcelona on March 4 to strengthen security-service competitiveness. They will step up cooperation on services including SASE, enhance solutions to apply consistent security policies and build zero-trust-based systems. LG Uplus also unveiled its in-house U+SASE, which is set for formal launch soon.
