Fortinet launches integrated SOC platform FortiSOC, deploys agentic AI

Fortinet, a network security company, said on Tuesday it has launched FortiSOC, an integrated cloud-based security operations centre (SOC) platform.

The company said FortiSOC integrates core security operations functions into a single software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform and embeds agentic AI. It autonomously investigates and correlates alerts across assets and identities, then recommends response actions under analyst supervision or executes them directly.

FortiSOC provides SIEM, SOAR, UEBA (user and entity behaviour analytics), case management, threat intelligence and ITDR (identity threat detection and response) in a single cloud-based platform. It combines FortiGuard Labs threat intelligence with agentic AI to support steps from alert intake to investigation and response.

The company said the cloud-based approach provides advanced cyber defence and visibility across network operations centres (NOC) and network and IT infrastructure. It added that flexible workflows allow organisations to scale security operations capabilities in the same environment without changing platforms when adopting SecOps for the first time or transitioning from legacy environments.

Michael Xie (마이클 시에), Fortinet's CTO, said security teams face three challenges at the same time: faster attacks, a growing investigation workload and a fragmented operating environment. He said FortiSOC combines AI, integrated workflows and best practices derived from Fortinet's global SOC operations experience to remove complexity and automate threat detection and response, helping customers stay one step ahead of attackers.
