Apple\'s new OS boosts app launch and AirDrop speeds but drops older devices

Apple unveiled iOS 27 and iPadOS 27, highlighting performance gains such as up to 30 percent faster app launches and up to 80 percent faster AirDrop transfers. It also touted quicker uploads to device libraries, up to fivefold faster file transfers with external storage, and improved switching between Wi-Fi and cellular networks, including on iPhone 11.
