China develops high-performance electrolyte for all-solid-state batteries, maintaining 84 percent capacity after 350 cycles
Chinese researchers have developed a new electrolyte system for all-solid-state batteries that maintained 84.15 percent of its initial capacity after 350 charge-discharge cycles. The team at the Chinese Academy of Sciences\' Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics applied a PVDF-based gel composite electrolyte and focused on reactions between lithium oxychloride and PVDF to improve bonding and ion conduction. The study did not provide figures for energy density, driving range or charging speed.

Stellantis, Factorial begin first solid-state battery road test in North America
Stellantis and solid-state battery developer Factorial Energy have begun the first on-road test of a solid-state electric vehicle battery in North America. The companies are using a Dodge Charger Daytona development vehicle equipped with Factorial\'s FEST cells. They said the test is the first to integrate a solid-state battery into a North American EV platform for validation in real road conditions. Factorial recently listed on Nasdaq under the symbol FAC.

Solid-state battery maker Factorial begins trading on Nasdaq, eyes aviation, defense and robotics
U.S. solid-state battery company Factorial Energy has completed its Nasdaq listing and plans to expand commercialization and production of next-generation batteries. It began trading after merging with SPAC Cartesian Growth Corp III, with ticker symbols FAC and FACWW. The deal values the company at about $1.3 billion and raised about $110 million. Factorial plans to invest beyond EVs into defense, aerospace, hyperscale data centers and robotics.
