Tern unveils new HSD compact cargo e-bike
E-bike brand Tern has unveiled a new compact cargo electric bike, the HSD, aimed at replacing short car trips in cities. The model features a redesigned frame with a longer wheelbase and lower centre of gravity, and supports a 190-kg gross vehicle weight and up to 80 kg on the rear rack. It uses Bosch’s fifth-generation electric system and offers accessory options. The lineup has four models, starting at $4,999.

Ugo Mini robot for AI data centre inspections uses 186-cm camera pole to cut blind spots
A compact inspection robot, the Ugo Mini, has been unveiled to address labour shortages in data centre facility checks. The robot features a small body and an adjustable camera pole that extends up to 186 cm, allowing inspections from floor-level piping to near-ceiling instruments. It navigates autonomously using 3D lidar, records equipment with a 4K camera and converts gauge readings into data via external AI, producing reports automatically. Deployment cases were also presented.

Financial investment industry joins energy-saving push with car use rotation and more remote work
South Korea\'s financial investment industry is stepping up energy-saving efforts in response to global energy supply-demand imbalances and rising prices. The Korea Financial Investment Association said securities firms, asset managers and other financial investment companies are participating. Measures include rotating car use, encouraging public transport, expanding remote work and flexible commuting systems. Companies are also cutting building power use by adjusting elevator and HVAC hours and switching off lights outside working hours.
