Chinese EV makers shift from price cuts to in-car AI race
Chinese electric vehicle makers are shifting the focus of competition from a prolonged price war to in-car AI features. CNBC reported that rivalry, once centred on battery range, driver assistance systems and automotive chips, is expanding to broader in-car AI functions. Demand for connected services is rising, including interfaces linked to Huawei phones and voice assistants such as Doubao. Companies and partners are accelerating feature integration even as pricing pressure persists.

A.dot, Papago enter global top 50 AI apps; ChatGPT ranks No. 1
SK Telecom’s AI assistant A.dot and Naver’s translation service Papago have entered the top 50 in Andreessen Horowitz’s “Top 100 next-generation AI consumer apps” report. A.dot ranked 39th in the web products category, the only domestic service to make the web top 50, while Papago ranked 43rd in mobile apps and Snow placed 48th. The rankings are based on January traffic data from Similarweb and Sensor Tower.

Mobile OS war, not search, reshapes global B2C genAI app landscape
Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) released a Top 100 Gen AI Consumer Apps series based on January web and mobile metrics, expanding coverage to services adding generative AI such as CapCut, Canva and Notion. ChatGPT remains No.1 but competition is intensifying, with growing multi-tenant use alongside Google’s Gemini and Anthropic’s Claude. The data also show distinct regional ecosystems and shifts in creative tools from image generation toward video, music and voice products.
