Study finds signs of AI writing on 35% of webpages posted since ChatGPT launch

A study found signs that AI wrote or heavily edited content on 35% of webpages posted after ChatGPT launched. Using Common Crawl data, Pew Research Center analysed 10,000 webpages and found AI-writing signals in 9.6% of the overall sample. The share rose to 35% when limited to pages posted since November 2022. The pattern was most common on .com domains and far lower on .edu and .gov sites, it said.

Bitcoin spot ETFs see $137.3 million net inflows, with clear tilt to Fidelity

Bitcoin spot exchange-traded funds shifted to net inflows of $137.3 million on Aug. 17, local time, but most of the money went into Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund, raising doubts about a broad recovery in demand. Data showed FBTC took in $111.9 million, while ARKB and MSBT recorded smaller inflows. BlackRock’s IBIT was not yet confirmed. The inflow followed five straight trading days of outflows.

Game industry teams up with Samsung foldables on Galaxy themes based on game IP

South Korean game companies are expanding major game intellectual property into Galaxy themes timed with Samsung Electronics\' launch of new foldable smartphones. Netmarble, Nexon, Haejin and HoYoverse Korea unveiled special themes for the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Fold8 and Flip8, applying characters and game worlds to lock screens, wallpapers, icons and ringtones. Themes are offered as purchase benefits via Galaxy Store and through NFC-based in-store体验 events at five Samsung Store locations.
