Devsisters said on April 3 it held a live broadcast on its official YouTube channel on April 2 and announced plans to optimise Cookierun: Ovensmash and improve character balance.

The broadcast ran for 30 minutes and was hosted by Devsisters CEO Cho Gil-hyeon (조길현) and Cookierun: Ovensmash co-producer Lee Won-young (이원영). Cho and Lee apologised for user inconvenience involving loading times, stuttering, cookies, mode balance, controls and convenience features, and promised to resolve the issues.

Devsisters plans to monitor community user feedback and reflect it in the game. It will carry out its first update next week, adding a new mode and cookies.

On optimisation, it will apply a patch next week to reduce loading times during entry between the plaza and in-game areas. It will update features including entering the next match after a match ends and starting play on login without passing through the plaza. It also plans optimisation including more granular graphic quality options.

On balance, it will adjust cookie balance in line with mode and map characteristics. It will add a mid-point respawner in the Castlebreak mode to address an issue in which the revival area becomes farther away.

On controls and convenience, it will ease issues including movement being interrupted when a dash skill hits a wall and cookies getting stuck when a turtle moves in Castlebreak mode. It will strengthen attack impact and add sound effects when recovering health.

To respond to teaming in Wildroyal, a solo mode, it plans to introduce a reporting function and impose penalties. It will expand operations of the Smashfight mode.
