[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang] Dash, a layer 1 blockchain with privacy features, will integrate Zcash's Orchard shielded pool into the Dash Evolution chain, Cointelegraph reported on Feb. 19 local time.
The Evolution chain is Dash's second layer that supports smart contracts. The integration is set for a March release after a cybersecurity audit is completed.
It will initially support only basic transfers of Zcash (ZEC). Privacy features are planned to be applied to real-world asset tokens (RWA) through later upgrades.
Dash (DASH), the native token of the Dash network, surged more than 125 percent in January.
On-chain privacy protocols and privacy blockchain tokens drew considerable attention in 2025 and early 2026. Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (창펑 자오), known as CZ, said, "Privacy is key to the adoption of cryptocurrency payments."
