KT sets out security AX infrastructure strategy for financial sector
KT on Wednesday presented a \"finance industry-optimised AX (AI transformation) strategy\" to about 50 IT practitioners in the financial industry. At its Gwanghwamun Building West office, the company introduced its 2026 network strategy based on global 6G trends and shifts in technology paradigms, along with AX trends and cooperation cases among domestic financial firms. KT also showcased enterprise messaging products, a DDoS response strategy and a managed AI GPU service.

MSIT finalises 2026 overhead cable maintenance plan, to push Clean-Zone pilot
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT finalised its 2026 overhead cable maintenance plan after holding the 38th coordination meeting, it said on Monday. The plan covers 407 maintenance zones in 63 local governments, including all 25 districts of Seoul, and involves work on 130,910 utility poles. Allocation will reflect the share of public complaints, adding more work to areas with frequent complaints. The ministry will also launch a Clean-Zone pilot to prevent re-cluttering after maintenance.

KT launches Flexline ZTNA for corporate internet with zero-trust security
KT said on Wednesday it will launch Flexline ZTNA, a corporate internet service that applies a zero-trust security concept to its Flexline offering. Flexline is an SD-WAN-based service that supports lines, IP, equipment and operations monitoring, and can flexibly adjust bandwidth based on analysis of work environments and network use. The ZTNA version verifies permissions at each access using real-time AI detection and controls access based on device security status. KT also added quantum-cryptography equipment and said its security solutions can block cyberattacks.
