KT said on Wednesday it will introduce the security-enhanced Flexline ZTNA (Zero Trust Network Access).

Flexline is a corporate internet service that supports lines, IP, equipment and operations monitoring, and uses software-defined wide area network (SD-WAN) technology. It can flexibly adjust optimal bandwidth by analysing a company's work environment and network usage. It can directly connect to various cloud providers in South Korea and overseas at a desired capacity, and provides security functions such as firewalls and virtual private networks (VPN) as standard.

KT's Flexline ZTNA applies a Zero Trust security concept to Flexline. Unlike the existing VPN approach of continuing trust after a single login, it verifies privileges for users, devices and applications at each access point through real-time artificial intelligence (AI) detection.

It controls access based on detailed security policies tied to a device's security status, such as whether anti-virus software is installed or security patches are applied. Flexline ZTNA can be used as an add-on service by new customers as well as existing customers.

KT added to its lineup equipment that applies quantum-cryptography technology to strengthen corporate internet security. This will allow corporate customers in sectors such as finance, which require a high level of security, to use corporate internet with confidence. It also said various cyberattacks can be effectively blocked through KT security solutions such as Clean Zone and AI mail security.

Myeong Je-hoon (명제훈), executive director and head of the Service Product Headquarters at KT's enterprise division, said Flexline is a corporate internet service that combines SD-WAN-based network competitiveness with next-generation security technologies such as zero trust and quantum cryptography. He said customers across various industries will be able to use corporate internet more safely with Flexline ZTNA.
