AI search startup Glean says tokens 70 percent cheaper than Claude CoWork - how?

AI search startup Glean is stepping up its offensive against Anthropic, targeting token costs and data security issues. It released an internal evaluation saying its AI assistant was far cheaper than Anthropic’s Claude CoWork app when performing more than 180 tasks. Glean said it used 70 percent fewer tokens and its average charge per task was 81 percent lower, citing routing software that assigns tasks to different models.

Moonshot AI in talks with U.S. cloud big three on revenue sharing for Kimi K3 model

Moonshot AI is in revenue-sharing talks with Microsoft, Amazon and Google, Reuters reported on Aug. 26. The talks would allow the U.S. cloud firms to host Moonshot AI\'s large model Kimi K3. Sources said Moonshot AI is seeking up to 30 percent of K3-related service revenue. The negotiations are at an early stage and key issues remain unresolved, including revenue-sharing terms, data access and audits of token usage.

A public letter said defenders often cannot access AI labs’ cybersecurity programs and face guardrails on top public models, forcing reliance on lower-performing open-weight models. Signatories called for standing access programmes. The letter cited rising losses and warned vulnerabilities could threaten personal lifetime savings.
