Pearl Abyss\' Crimson Desert wins two most anticipated game awards from China\'s 17173
Pearl Abyss said on Tuesday that its open-world action adventure game Crimson Desert won two “most anticipated game” categories at the 17173 Game Awards run by Chinese gaming outlet 17173. Winners are selected through user voting and editor evaluation. Crimson Desert was chosen by users and editors, alongside titles including GTA 6. The game is set for worldwide release on March 20 for PC and consoles, with preorders under way.

KOCCA to invest 23.6 billion won in game production support this year; applications open until March 3
South Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency will invest 23.6 billion won this year to help commercialise domestic games and support overseas expansion. The 2026 programme will back about 82 projects across general games, functional games and AI games. General game support totals 19.3 billion won, including a new mobile “launch type” track allowing up to two consecutive years of funding.

Nexon Mintroket to launch \'Dave the Diver\' mobile in China on Feb. 6
Nexon said on Monday that Mintroket, its development subsidiary, will launch the hybrid ocean adventure game \'Dave the Diver\' in China on Feb. 6. The single-package title has sold 7 million copies globally since its full release in 2023. In China, the mobile version will use the local service name \'Diver Dave\' and will be operated by XD Network. It will be sold as a paid package on PC and mobile.
