Nexon said on Jan. 27 that Mintroket, its development subsidiary, will launch the hybrid ocean adventure game "Dave the Diver" in China on Feb. 6.

"Dave the Diver" is a single-package game that has been praised by users worldwide. Since its full release in 2023, it has reached cumulative global sales of 7 million copies on the strength of its distinctive gameplay and broad appeal, combining ocean exploration with running a sushi restaurant. The mobile version, being introduced in China for the first time, keeps the PC version's core fun elements while applying controls and a UI system optimised for mobile, offering an immersive play experience anytime and anywhere.

In China, the local service name for the game is "Diver Dave". XD Network, which has operated global hits such as "Girls' Frontline" and "Azur Lane", will handle the service. It will be sold as a paid package and will support PC and mobile (Android, iOS) platforms. The PC version will be released first on TapTap and then rolled out sequentially to major PC platforms such as Steam China and WeGame. The mobile version also plans to expand its service regions later to the domestic and global markets.

The game has previously showcased its gameplay through on-site demos at major local game events such as ChinaJoy 2025 and WePlay 2025. More than 1.45 million users have joined the pre-registration now under way on TapTap.

It will also roll out a series of localised collaborations targeting the China market. It will run joint promotions with popular local dining brands including KFC and sushi franchise Sushiro. It will also add in-game collaboration content with the rhythm game "Muse Dash" to offer a range of things to enjoy.

He added, "Through close collaboration with local publisher XD Network, we will present a service optimised for the local environment and a variety of content."
