Robotaxis to begin test runs in Kazakhstan in 2027 under inDrive, Pony.ai, Nvidia tie-up

Ride-hailing platform inDrive will work with Chinese autonomous driving firm Pony.ai and Nvidia to start robotaxi test runs in Kazakhstan in the first half of 2027, beginning in the capital Astana. The companies plan to link Pony.ai robotaxis to inDrive’s app, with Nvidia providing AI technology including its Hyperion platform and Halos safety system. Tests will start with safety operators onboard, with a long-term goal of fully driverless operation.

JB Financial pursues acquisition of two Kyrgyz finance firms in first entry into Central Asia

JB Financial Group is pursuing the acquisition of two financial companies in Kyrgyzstan, marking its first entry into the Central Asian market. It said affiliate JB Woori Capital signed a deal to buy 100 percent stakes in Korky Credit and Korky Leasing from their parent, Epoque Co. The companies plan to complete required approvals and registrations and close the transaction within this year. JB Financial aims to expand used-car financing.

Daewon CTS seeks cooperation with Kazakhstan government on AI modular data centres

Daewon CTS said on Wednesday its enterprise division signed a memorandum of understanding with Kazakhstan\'s Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development to cooperate on AI modular data centres and AI infrastructure. The agreement was reached at a Korea-Kazakhstan business roundtable held on the sidelines of the first Korea-Central Asia summit. The two sides plan to form a joint working group and pursue individual projects through separate contracts.
