Korea Investment & Securities says retail financial product balances top 100 trillion won
Korea Investment & Securities said on May 20 that balances in financial products held by individual clients have surpassed 100 trillion won. It said the result reflects a product lineup focused on returns and its asset management services. Balances rose from 41.2 trillion won in 2022 to 85.07 trillion won in 2025 and exceeded 100 trillion won as of May. The firm also reported steady client inflows and rising new customer numbers.

Musk\'s xAI raises $20 billion with Nvidia, Cisco among investors
Elon Musk-led AI startup xAI has raised $20 billion, surpassing its initial target of $15 billion, CNBC reported on Jan. 6 local time. Investors include Nvidia, Cisco Investments, Fidelity, Qatar Investment Authority, Abu Dhabi\'s MGX, Valor Equity Partners, StepStone Group and Baron Capital Group. Nvidia and Cisco are also working with xAI as strategic partners. CNBC projected the deal could value xAI at about $230 billion.
