Korea Investment & Securities said on Tuesday that balances in financial products held by individual clients have surpassed 100 trillion won. It said the achievement reflects a product lineup focused on returns and its asset management services.

Retail financial product balances rose from 41.2 trillion won in 2022 to 53.4 trillion won in 2023, 67.7 trillion won in 2024 and 85.07 trillion won in 2025. It then exceeded 100 trillion won as of May this year.

Since 2022, Korea Investment & Securities has seen average monthly inflows of 1.3 trillion won from individual clients. Annual increases also expanded each year to 12.2 trillion won in 2023, 14.3 trillion won in 2024 and 17.37 trillion won in 2025. That equals about 43.0 billion won of client funds flowing in per day on average.

Over the past three years, the number of new customers for retail financial products increased to 85,766 in 2023, 132,322 in 2024 and 202,502 in 2025.

Its customer base was evenly distributed across all age groups. The shares by age were 13.8 percent for those in their 20s or younger, 19.0 percent in their 30s, 19.0 percent in their 40s, 21.7 percent in their 50s, 15.2 percent in their 60s and 11.4 percent for those 70 or older.

Korea Investment & Securities said it has provided global investment opportunities by working with Carlyle, JPMorgan, MAN Group, Capital Group, AB and Munich Re. Related products posted cumulative sales of 1.01 trillion won as of the end of April this year.

Its private banker organisation is focusing on long-term growth of client assets and lifecycle-based wealth management rather than simple product sales. Korea Investment & Securities said it reflects client performance and management capabilities in private banker key performance indicators.

Chief Executive Kim Sung-hwan (김성환) said, "This breakthrough of 100 trillion won in retail client financial product balances is more meaningful because it is the result of accumulated customer trust in entrusting us with their assets," adding, "We will continue to develop into a retail wealth management platform that grows together with customers."
