U.S.-listed Hyperscale Data has bought more bitcoin, increasing its total holdings to 1,106.

Bitcoin Magazine reported on July 28 that, at current prices, the company’s bitcoin holdings are worth $69.7 million.

The latest purchase totals 18.594 BTC. Hyperscale continued its buying after purchasing 51.5 BTC last week. As a result, the company’s bitcoin treasury strategy is again drawing market attention.

The company said the expansion of its bitcoin holdings helps broaden options for its financial structure and capital management. Milton Todd Ault III (밀턴 토드 올트 3세), chairman of Hyperscale Data’s board, said buying bitcoin strengthens the balance sheet and increases financial flexibility. He added that the bitcoin treasury strategy provides additional options for growth financing, pursuing strategic opportunities and creating long-term shareholder value, and said the company plans to keep increasing its bitcoin holdings.

The holdings are split between Sentinum and Ault Capital Group, both wholly owned subsidiaries of the company. Hyperscale is seeking to build a $100 million digital-asset treasury through this and is pursuing a goal of fully balancing its bitcoin holdings with its market capitalization.

Hyperscale Data is following a method similar to Strategy by buying bitcoin with surplus cash. Strategy, led by Michael Saylor, shifted its focus from its existing software business to a bitcoin-buying centered model, and investors have obtained bitcoin exposure through its Nasdaq-listed shares.

This trend is also affecting other companies’ incorporation of crypto into their treasuries. Hyperscale is notable, however, because the value of its bitcoin holdings exceeds the company’s overall market capitalization. Such cases are typically more common among treasury-play companies that trade at steep discounts.

Hyperscale continued buying this week after last week, keeping up the pace of bitcoin accumulation. The market has accordingly come to watch whether the company will make further purchases toward its $100 million digital-asset treasury goal and how expanding bitcoin holdings will affect its stock price and financing strategy.

Hyperscale Data’s latest purchase shows a trend of reshaping corporate finance around bitcoin beyond simple asset accumulation. In particular, a structure in which the value of held assets exceeds market capitalization shows its digital-asset strategy is moving separately from the market’s assessment.
