POSCO Future M to push AI transition, signs platform deal with Palantir

POSCO Future M will introduce U.S. firm Palantir\'s data platform as part of efforts to shift work across the company to an AI-centred model. It signed a contract to adopt Palantir\'s data operations and analytics platforms, Foundry and the AI Platform (AIP). The company plans to apply the tools first in sales and marketing to improve customer response and collaboration. It set targets to lift customer response capability by more than 60 percent, raise manufacturing productivity by 30 percent and halve product development time.

Fake statistics from 50,000 pages lead ChatGPT to access false site tens of thousands of times

AI-generated fake statistics were used in ChatGPT’s information retrieval and were cited in academic papers and financial institution reports, an experiment showed. AI search researcher Metehan Yesilyurt built an experimental website, StateGlobe, and generated about 50,000 statistics pages with GPT-4.1. Server logs showed more than 600,000 bot requests in 30 days, including about 72,000 from ChatGPT-User. He warned of “citation laundering” if false data is repeatedly cited.

KT steps up push into medical AX market, introduces standardised model to hospitals nationwide

KT shared AI-based medical services and hospital management innovation plans with officials from major hospitals nationwide. KT said it held the \'KT AXis: Medical 2026\' seminar in Seoul on Oct. 21, attended by about 60 officials from tertiary general hospitals and regional hub public hospitals. The company introduced its medical standardisation model and discussed AI transformation plans tailored to each institution.
