Cisco formalises plan to acquire AI agent security startup Astrix
Cisco said on May 4 it plans to acquire Astrix Security, a startup specialising in security for non-human identities. Israeli media outlet Calcalist reported the deal size was about $400 million. Based in Tel Aviv, Astrix develops software that monitors AI agents and applies security controls. The company focuses on protecting digital access credentials such as API keys, service accounts and authentication tokens.

Israeli endpoint security startup Bold has raised $40 million, Business Insider reported. The company develops software that uses AI to protect devices such as corporate laptops. The round was led by Red Dot Capital Partners, with participation from Bessemer Venture Partners and Picture Capital. Bold plans to use the funds to expand in the U.S. market and grow its global business. Its core product is an AI agent installed directly on corporate devices.

Wonderful AI raises $150 million in Series B for AI agent development platform
Wonderful AI, a startup developing a platform for building AI agents, has raised $150 million in Series B funding, SiliconANGLE reported on Thursday. The round was led by Insight Partners, with participation from Index Ventures, IVP, Bessemer Venture Partners and Vine Ventures. The company was valued at $2 billion in the round. Wonderful AI offers a natural language-based software platform with low-code tools, simulation testing and post-deployment monitoring features.
