Trump may allow Chinese EVs in U.S. ahead of Xi talks, amid market-opening rumors
Rumors are circulating that U.S. President Donald Trump could allow Chinese-made electric vehicles to be sold in the United States as part of negotiations with China, Democratic Senator Elissa Slotkin said. She cited an expected Washington meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping within weeks and called the idea a strategic mistake that could harm Michigan’s auto industry and 1,200,000 related jobs. Slotkin did not identify the source, and the White House has announced no plan to lower barriers.

JD.com to deploy 3 million robots, 1 million driverless vehicles over five years to automate logistics network
JD.com plans to introduce 3 million robots over the next five years to fully automate its nationwide logistics network. JD Logistics also outlined deploying 1 million driverless vehicles and 100,000 delivery drones, and presented its industrial Wolf robot series at an event in Beijing. Executives said the systems are designed to handle picking, sorting, transport and delivery with minimal human involvement. The company also plans to collect more than 10 million hours of operational data, expand R&D bases and build a computing cluster using 100,000 domestic chips.

Japan unveils ambulance dedicated to repairing humanoid robots
A dedicated vehicle to diagnose and repair broken humanoid robots on site has appeared in Japan. GMO AI & Robotics Trading Co (GMO AIR) unveiled the “GMO Humanoid Ambulance” and said it is Japan’s first dedicated vehicle for humanoid maintenance. The company plans to dispatch it with engineers, parts and diagnostic tools, and offer replacement robots through a 70,000 yen-a-month subscription when repairs take a long time.
