Krafton to scout and nurture \'fun games\' as it seeks to move beyond PUBG focus
Krafton is seeking to reinvent itself as a company that discovers and develops fun games, with a strategy to foster promising titles into franchises regardless of genre or IP. At Gamescom 2026 in Cologne, it unveiled five new games spanning multiple genres and development approaches. The company says it is pursuing a publishing strategy built on challenging genre conventions, working with external studios and reinterpreting existing franchises, while strengthening a repeatable system to find, validate and scale up franchise IP.

Instead of first proving a game in Korea and then launching abroad, they are now targeting global PC and console markets from the development stage and reflecting overseas user reactions in game quality and release strategy. Krafton unveiled five new titles at Gamescom 2026, covering new intellectual property and an expansion of the PUBG franchise. At a media day in Cologne, it introduced NO LAW, Project Zeta, Age Twister, Taray: Unbound and PUBG: Deadnet, outlining development direction and key gameplay. Four are new games with distinct genres and worlds, while PUBG: Deadnet reworks PUBG elements in a different gameplay format.
