Krafton said on July 27 it will hold the "2026 Craft Ground Contest" using the user creation mode "Craft Ground" in its mobile game "Battlegrounds Mobile".

The event is the first creation map contest for users in South Korea and Japan among Battlegrounds Mobile service regions. It was planned as part of a strategy to expand the user-generated content ecosystem in which users create and share maps and content beyond simple gameplay.

Craft Ground is an in-game creation system that lets users make game modes and maps. Users can create content with various themes and rules beyond the battle royale genre, and the maps are shared and played by users around the world.

The contest will be held under an open theme. Participants can use the Craft Ground Editor to create without limits on genre or theme. To enter, the map must be created directly in the in-game mode after the contest notice and must meet a condition of at least 60 minutes of map editing time. After finishing, participants complete entry by submitting the map code and creator information through the in-game event page.

The schedule includes a preparation period from July 27 through Sept. 2, with official submissions accepted from Aug. 10 through Sept. 2. A first-round internal review will then be held from Sept. 7 through Sept. 16.

Entries that pass the first review will be released in-game from Sept. 21 through Oct. 5, during which general users will play and vote. The final review will run from Oct. 6 through Oct. 13, and the final winners are expected to be announced on Oct. 16 based on a comprehensive assessment of internal review results, actual play metrics and user votes.

The total prize money is 24 million won. The final first-place winner (1 person) will receive 10 million won, second place (1 person) 5 million won and third place (1 person) 3 million won. Creative Award winners, with 3 selected each in South Korea and Japan for a total of 6 people, will each receive 1 million won.

Eligibility is limited to holders of a Battlegrounds Mobile account who live in South Korea or Japan and have the nationality of the respective country. Winners will receive prize money and an opportunity to officially showcase their created content to global users.
