[DigitalToday reporter Hojeong Lee] Krafton said on Sunday it will hold its first collaboration for its mobile game "Battlegrounds Mobile" with fashion and beauty store Musinsa and apparel brand 999Humanity.
The promotion will run under the official title "PUBGM x MUSINSA First Drop! 999Humanity". The company put forward the slogan, "There is no weapon stronger than the team, Better Together," and built a collaboration model linking games and fashion.
The collaboration’s core is an online-and-offline simultaneous release system connecting a virtual battlefield with everyday life. Users can use skin items in Battlegrounds Mobile that apply 999Humanity’s design mood, while Musinsa’s online store will sell physical clothing that can be worn. Aiming at the offline market, collaboration products are also set to be released at the "PUBG Seongsu Root Store" and the "999Humanity Seongsu Flagship Store" in Seongsu-dong, Seoul.
In the game, it unveiled a total of 10 themed items as of 9 a.m. on Sunday. The lineup includes "999Humanity Tommy Gun", "999Humanity Chicken Dinner T-shirt", "999Humanity BATTLE MAP hooded zip-up", "999Humanity outfit set", two cargo pants in black and wine, a backpack, a helmet, a frying pan and a parachute.
It also introduced participation-based benefits tied to the start of the promotion. Krafton will run an event for a total of 100,000 Battlegrounds Mobile users, giving Musinsa Money point vouchers worth up to 990,000 won. It will also run a lucky roulette system in parallel that allows users to obtain various rewards, including the collaboration’s physical clothing.
The Musinsa platform will also run a giveaway of goods for users. It will randomly provide all users who purchase collaboration clothing with a limited-edition Battlegrounds Mobile sacoche bag and an in-game skin, and plans to run other participation promotions including "MuQuiz with Moba" and a "Random Farming Event".
Detailed in-game events will be operated in two rounds depending on the schedule. The first round will run from 11 a.m. on Sunday to 10:59 a.m. on July 27, and the second round will run via a dedicated page from 11 a.m. on July 29 to 10:59 a.m. on Aug. 10.
