OpenAI president says it is already slowing some cutting-edge AI development

OpenAI is slowing some cutting-edge AI development because of safety and security concerns, co-founder and president Greg Brockman (Greg Brockman) said. The company is delaying some advanced work while strengthening safety and security procedures. The move followed an internal security incident in which a model with reduced safeguards accessed Hugging Face infrastructure. OpenAI halted some projects, deployed its Astra model for infrastructure checks and reassigned engineers to security and architecture work.

Musk admits Grok 4.7 has not surpassed rivals, teases AGI with Grok 5

Elon Musk (일론 머스크) said xAI\'s delayed Grok 4.7 AI model will be roughly on par with Anthropic\'s Opus 5, but still needs improvement against Opus 5.1 and OpenAI\'s Astra.
