U.S. SEC approves Tesla retail shareholder auto-voting, could it affect a SpaceX merger

Tesla has won U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission approval for a program that automatically casts participating retail shareholders’ votes in line with board recommendations. Participants can apply it to all items or exclude contested director elections and M&A matters, and can change votes on specific items or cancel for free. Tesla cited low retail voting turnout. The approval comes as Elon Musk has hinted at a Tesla-SpaceX combination, which would require a shareholder vote.

Japan\'s Gumi launches crypto management fund with SBI to invest in bitcoin and altcoins

Japanese game developer Gumi will launch a 3 billion yen cryptocurrency investment fund with SBI Financial Services. The fund will invest in bitcoin and major altcoins, while seeking returns through staking and using hedging and rebalancing strategies to manage risk. Gumi said the fund aims to connect Japanese corporate capital with crypto markets and to build a track record ahead of possible future approval of crypto exchange-traded funds in Japan.
