Flitto co-founder and CTO Kang Dong-han said generic AI is hard to apply directly at industrial sites because accents, dialects, workplace jargon and machine noise affect performance. He said interpretation and translation quality depends on how quickly AI is localised for the site, focusing on fine-tuning frontier models with on-site data and glossaries. Flitto built an AI interpretation and translation service for Hanwha Ocean and Hanwha Systems, supporting 44 languages and functions such as group chats and image translation.

Kbank introduces QR payments at lottery retailers nationwide
Kbank has introduced a QR code-based account transfer payment system at lottery retailers nationwide in cooperation with Donghaeng Lottery. Retailers can use the service without separate usage fees. The service is available at more than 90 percent of about 10,000 lottery shops. Customers scan a QR code at the shop, choose a financial institution and amount on a web page, then complete the transfer in their bank app.

Hana Bank joins hands with Upbit Global to co-research Travel Rule technology
Hana Bank will work with Upbit Global on technical cooperation to build a Travel Rule-based infrastructure for digital asset transfers. The bank said it signed an MOU at its headquarters in central Seoul to support safe transfers and establish a basis for regulatory compliance. The two sides plan to jointly respond to changes in laws and regulations, and to research and test transfer technology and infrastructure.
