Chips&Media Q3 operating profit 1.66 billion won, up 8.7 percent on year

Chips&Media said on Oct. 27 it posted consolidated third-quarter revenue of 7.16 billion won and operating profit of 1.66 billion won. Revenue rose 8.2 percent and operating profit gained 8.7 percent from a year earlier. Royalty revenue fell as chip output by customers declined due to memory supply and demand conditions, but the company said expanded new licences in AI and mobility lifted licence revenue. It posted a net loss of 600 million won.

At Snapdragon Summit 2026 in Maui, senior vice president and mobile handsets head Chris Patrick said flagship smartphones now span a broad portfolio of premium experiences. The company calls the approach a multi-flagship strategy aimed at giving customers flexibility and expanding agentic AI across more premium devices.
