Naver to co-produce senior-tailored AI textbook with National Institute for Lifelong Education

Naver said on Sunday it signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Institute for Lifelong Education to strengthen AI and digital capabilities for seniors and digitally excluded groups. The two sides signed the deal on Aug. 7 at Naver 1784 and plan to jointly develop and distribute AI and digital lifelong-education content to expand lifelong-learning opportunities for seniors. They will also co-produce a digital literacy textbook based on the Whale browser.

Hecto Financial posts 50 billion won revenue for third straight quarter; brokers see AI commerce benefit

Hecto Financial posted quarterly revenue in the 50 billion won range for a third straight quarter, helped by growth in its simple cash payment service, a brokerage report said. Eugene Investment & Securities said the company’s second-quarter results met market expectations and cited potential gains from the commercialisation of stablecoins at home and abroad and the expansion of the AI commerce market. It kept a buy rating but cut its target price.

Kakao expands AI commerce tests; payment is key beyond recommendations

Kakao is expanding AI commerce experiments inside KakaoTalk, aiming to keep users within the app from recommendation and search to booking and payment. The company has added a “Special Friend” gift feature and strengthened the “Kanana” place agent to broaden recommendations and enable reservations. Analysts say monetisation depends on whether recommendations translate into completed transactions and payments within KakaoTalk, not just feature launches.
