Ripple teams up with Stripe-owned Privy to add AI auto-payments to XRPL, tops 13 million

Ripple is working with Stripe-owned wallet infrastructure company Privy to introduce AI-based payments and embedded wallet functions on the XRP Ledger. The integration lets developers build payment apps using XRP and Ripple USD without users managing private keys. The collaboration centres on agentic commerce and the x402 open payments protocol for automated software-to-software payments. Ripple said AI agents have processed about 13 million payments on XRPL, about 25 percent of network activity.

Kakao bets on connection by linking AI and membership around KakaoTalk

Kakao is bringing major services such as AI, membership, shopping and reservations into KakaoTalk to link users from chats to service use. The company launched a 4,900 won monthly Kakao Membership that bundles benefits across multiple Kakao services. Kakao is also expanding AI functions inside KakaoTalk, connecting internal and external services and aiming for 10,000,000 monthly active users for in-app AI by year-end. The strategy seeks to convert KakaoTalk’s user base into transactions across other businesses.

Naver to co-produce senior-tailored AI textbook with National Institute for Lifelong Education

Naver said on Sunday it signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Institute for Lifelong Education to strengthen AI and digital capabilities for seniors and digitally excluded groups. The two sides signed the deal on Aug. 7 at Naver 1784 and plan to jointly develop and distribute AI and digital lifelong-education content to expand lifelong-learning opportunities for seniors. They will also co-produce a digital literacy textbook based on the Whale browser.
