Epic Games delays Disney game after shifting to AI-first development

Epic Games is reported to have delayed the release of a new game being co-developed with Disney after adopting an AI-centred production approach. OpenAI co-founder says AI use gap widens as only a few feel frontier model performance

OpenAI co-founder Andrej Karpathy said a widening gap is emerging between the public and frontline AI users, with only a small minority experiencing the performance of frontier models. He estimated about 6 billion people have not used large language models, while most of the remaining users only occasionally use free versions of services such as ChatGPT. He put the number of people using cutting-edge models for coding at about 20 million, and those with internal access to frontier systems at about 5,000.

Krafton to hire more than 100 \'AI native\' entry-level workers

Krafton will recruit more than 100 entry-level hires across all job categories for candidates with AI-use capabilities, its largest intake for new graduates. Applications for its 2027 internship-linked programme run through Oct. 23. The six tracks include AI research, tech, support, business and game development. Screening will include documents, aptitude tests, an AI capability assessment and interviews, using Krafton’s in-house \'Kopa Probe\' solution.
