[Digital Today reporter Seulgi Son] Global language AI company DeepL said on Tuesday that its real-time voice translation solution, DeepL Voice, is being used for Amorepacific’s global collaboration work, with monthly meetings exceeding 100.
Meetings at Amorepacific using DeepL Voice have increased to more than 100 a month from 20 to 30 a month at the early stage of adoption. Utilisation of the deployed licences has also exceeded 95 percent.
Amorepacific introduced DeepL Voice to support multilingual meetings as collaboration increased among its overseas organisations in the Americas, China, Japan and Southeast Asia. It selected the solution after an internal proof of concept and is now using it for global meetings, multilingual conferences and employee training.
DeepL Voice offers automatic language detection and real-time multilingual subtitles. Employees can check meeting content in their preferred language, and a glossary feature helps keep translations of brand names and work terms consistent.
It integrates with Microsoft Teams and also supports enterprise security and management features such as single sign-on, centralised management and audit logs.
Amorepacific is pushing to introduce AI across its work under its mid- to long-term 'AI First' strategy and plans to review ways to expand the scope of applying real-time voice translation technology.
So-young Park (박소영), a director on Amorepacific’s system architecture team, said, "Through DeepL Voice, we are strengthening a work environment where employees can collaborate in their preferred languages."
Jarek Kutylowski (야렉 쿠틸로브스키), DeepL’s founder and chief executive, said, "Korea is a strategic market for DeepL," adding, "I hope we can continue to contribute to Amorepacific’s efforts to drive work innovation using AI."
