IBM says quantum computers could handle calculations even billions of supercomputers cannot

An IBM research executive said that once quantum computers reach practical use, they will be able to perform calculations that cannot be handled even by connecting huge numbers of conventional supercomputers. He said quantum computing scales differently, with performance growing exponentially as qubits increase. IBM said hardware advances alone are not enough and researchers must define which problems to solve. Companies are already offering cloud access, and carmakers are testing battery simulations.

At Hoyoland2026, fans pack Genshin Impact and Honkai booths as games move offline

Long lines formed at KINTEX in Goyang on Thursday as visitors waited to try paid and free experiences at Hoyoland2026, an offline event bringing five HoYoverse games together. Some attractions posted 60 to 120 minutes of expected waiting time. HoYoverse Korea said all 34,000 tickets for the four-day event were sold out.
