Korea online-only banks near 60 million customers as focus shifts from scale to profitability
South Korea’s three online-only banks have more than 58 million customers and are nearing 60 million, helped by mobile-based services. Customer growth has not automatically translated into stable profitability, and the key second-half task is diversifying revenue. KakaoBank, K Bank and Toss Bank are expanding products, partnerships and new customer segments. They also face pressure to sustain lending to mid- to low-credit borrowers while managing asset quality and non-interest income.

Salesforce says it will be a partner for agentic enterprise transition
Salesforce presented an “agentic enterprise” built on its AI agent platform Agentforce as a next growth model. At an event in Seoul, Salesforce Korea CEO Sejin Park said companies should transition and that Salesforce would connect back office, data and workforce operations to create measurable business value. Salesforce said it has deployed more than 300 internal agents and that Agentforce has grown into an $800 million business. It also introduced “Headless 360” and showcased customer cases at POSCO and Musinsa.

Musinsa steps up summer push as 29CM starts 29 Week and Musinsa Standard launches fans
Musinsa is targeting the summer market by promoting its in-house brand and platform. Musinsa Standard on Sunday expanded its Cooltandard cooling line from apparel into appliances, launching six types of fans. The company-run select shop 29CM also began its largest first-half shopping event, 29 Week. The 10-day promotion runs through June 11 with about 3,000 brands offering discounts of up to 83 percent.
