Apple unveils foldable iPhone Duo starting at 3.29 million won in South Korea
Apple on Sept. 9 unveiled its first foldable iPhone, the iPhone Duo, in Cupertino, California. The device has a 19.3 cm internal display when unfolded and a 13.6 cm external display when folded, with the same aspect ratio on both screens. It uses Grade 5 titanium and an IP68 water and dust resistance rating. It runs iOS27 and uses an A20 Pro chip. In South Korea it starts at 3.29 million won, with preorders from Oct. 16 and sales from Oct. 23.

China auto market down 23.6%; only battery EVs grow
China’s passenger-car market continued to weaken, with August retail sales falling 23.6% from a year earlier to 1,541,000 vehicles, data cited by Electrek showed. Battery electric vehicle sales rose 0.8% to 698,000 and gained 7.9% from July. Plug-in hybrids and range-extended EVs fell, pulling overall NEV sales down 10.1%. NEV penetration hit a record 65.2% as internal combustion sales slid faster. NEV exports surged 154.7%.

XRP top 10 percent wallet threshold falls again
The amount needed to rank in the top 10 percent of XRP Ledger wallets has fallen again. About 2,120 XRP is now enough to be in the top 10 percent, while the top 1 percent threshold stands at about 44,490 XRP. The network has 8,121,349 wallets, though wallet counts do not equal holders. Holdings remain concentrated, with most accounts holding under 1,000 XRP and small wallets making up a rising share.
