KB Kookmin Bank sets 400 billion won credit guarantee programme
KB Kookmin Bank signed a cooperation agreement with Korea Credit Guarantee Fund and Korea Technology Finance Corporation to strengthen productive finance and support the growth of small and mid-sized companies. The bank will provide 14 billion won in special contributions from December 5 to back about 400 billion won in loans secured by guarantee certificates. The programme offers full guarantees for three years and fee reductions for eligible firms, prioritising companies supported by the Small and Medium Business Corporation.

K Bank launches management consulting service for small business owners
K Bank introduced a management consulting service for individual business owners. The service works with the Small Enterprise and Market Service and recommends consulting and support programmes offered on the Small Business 24 portal. Customers who complete one approved programme receive a 0.2 percentage point preferential rate on K Bank’s credit loan for business owners. The bank said it aims to help owners address operational challenges and support further growth.

Woori Bank wins climate-energy minister's award for carbon-neutrality efforts
Woori Bank said it won a commendation from the climate-energy environment minister at the 2025 Carbon Neutral Living Practice National Convention. The event promotes the importance of carbon‑neutral behaviour. The bank was recognised for carbon‑neutral activities involving employees and local communities, including a campaign in April to collect unused smartphones and other devices. Its chief executive said the bank will continue ESG efforts in 2026. Woori Bank has received similar awards in previous years.
