Nintendo Switch 2 unveils 2026 game roadmap with Mario and Pokemon lined up
Nintendo is expected to sustain growth in 2026 after a rebound driven by the Switch 2 launch in the second half of 2025, a report said. Planned releases include Mario Tennis Fever, Pocopia and an Animal Crossing: New Horizons Switch 2 edition, with upgrades varying by title. New games such as Yoshi and the Mysterious Book and Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave are queued. Third-party support is set to expand, while hardware sales remain steady amid OLED-related questions.

Nvidia in talks to buy LLM developer AI21 Labs after Grok AI chip
Nvidia is in advanced talks to acquire large language model startup AI21 Labs for up to $2 billion to $3 billion, SiliconANGLE reported on Dec. 31, citing Israeli outlet Calcalist. If completed, the deal would more than double AI21 Labs' valuation from last year. Nvidia joined AI21 Labs' investment round last year. AI21 Labs has about $50 million in annualised revenue and developed the open-source LLM Jamba, and offers paid software Maestro for building AI agents.

Malhaeboka tops 10 million global downloads
Epopsoft said on Wednesday its AI English-learning app Malhaeboka has surpassed 10 million cumulative downloads globally. The company said strong growth in overseas markets had a big impact on the milestone. Malhaeboka is available in South Korea, Japan, Taiwan and Spanish-speaking markets. It said the app reached No. 1 in the education category on both Apple’s App Store and Google’s Play Store in Taiwan within six months and has stayed there.
