Pearl Abyss' Crimson Desert named PlayStation's best new game of March
Pearl Abyss said on April 9 that its game "Crimson Desert" was selected as PlayStation's "best new game of March." The PlayStation Blog holds a user vote each month for newly released games. "Crimson Desert" ranked first in votes, beating "Marathon," "MLB The Show 26" and "Scott Pilgrim EX." As a new intellectual property, the game sold 2,000,000 copies on launch day and reached 4,000,000 copies in 12 days.

SK Innovation E&S faces allegations of covering up 2022 hack, 15GB data leak suspected
SK Innovation E&S is suspected of failing to report a hacking incident it detected in November 2022 until March 26 this year, according to materials obtained by the office of lawmaker Min Hee-hee (최민희). The breach is said to have occurred on Sept. 30, 2022, exploiting vulnerabilities in an outdated server lacking security updates. The incident later spread, and data leaks of 13GB and 2GB were confirmed in two intrusions.

111Percent wins partial first-instance ruling in copycat lawsuit over mobile game
111Percent said on Wednesday it won a partial first-instance ruling in a lawsuit against New Normal Soft over alleged infringement of its mobile game "Luck-Driven Zone Many Game". The Seoul Central District Court's 63rd civil division ruled New Normal Soft engaged in unfair competition and ordered it to pay 557 million won in damages plus delay interest. The dispute centered on claims that New Normal Soft's 2024 release copied gameplay and user interface elements.
