OpenAI to roll out limited GPT-5.5 Cyber to vetted security professionals first
OpenAI will first release its cybersecurity-focused model, GPT-5.5 Cyber, to selected users, TechCrunch reported on April 30. CEO Sam Altman said on X that the model would be rolled out over the next few days to “key cybersecurity stakeholders.” OpenAI has set up an application process requiring eligibility details and a usage plan.
