Accenture 2026 report says 'unconstrained banking' era has arrived

Forbes, citing Accenture's 2026 Banking Trends Report, reported that an 'unconstrained banking' era has arrived as traditional banks move toward large-scale applications of stablecoins, crypto assets and tokenised deposits. The report forecasts direct competitive pressure on traditional deposit and lending businesses and warns of growing structural risks. It says the risks could affect about $200 trillion in bank assets and estimates up to $13 trillion in transaction volume could shift away from traditional payments by the late 2030s.

Ethereum validator withdrawal queue hits zero as staking demand surges

Ethereum’s validator exit queue has dropped to 0 ETH, while the queue for new staking has jumped fivefold from a month earlier to 2.6 million ETH, the highest since July 2023. Exit queue levels have fallen from 2.67 million ETH in September 2025. Staking wait times have extended to 45 days, while exits are processed within minutes. Industry analysts say inflows are strengthening ETH supply-demand dynamics and could lift prices. The annual staking yield is about 2.8 percent.

Ecpro founder Lee Dong-chae urges preparing for future after crisis

Ecpro founder Lee Dong-chae inspected future materials development sites and called on staff to prepare for the future after the current crisis. The company said he visited the Ecopro BM research building in Cheongju on Jan. 7 to review progress on materials for all-solid-state batteries. Lee also set four management guidelines for 2026 and visited an Ecopro HN plant in Jincheon, urging stronger manufacturing competitiveness and workplace safety.
