Metabora Games launches 'Magic Squad' with Neostella Games

Metabora Games said on Sunday it has officially launched Web3 game 'Magic Squad', developed by Neostella Games, on LINE NEXT's dapp portal. The hybrid title combines RPG progression elements with a roguelike format and has onboarded to LINE NEXT's mini dapp ecosystem through collaboration. Players can play without installing a separate app and purchase in-app items using BORA tokens. The launch also links BORA Deeps quests and adds BORA-based payment and gas abstraction features.

K-Pop Demon Hunters merchandise boom as mystery box launches

Netflix animated series K-Pop Demon Hunters has launched a mystery box product featuring randomized character pins available on Amazon and at Hot Topic, Variety reported. The box includes six possible character pins, with a chance of a rare glow-in-the-dark chase version. The official licensed product was released through a collaboration between Netflix, Loungefly and Funko. Hot Topic also introduced a Lion Boys blind bag pin set.

Amazon partners with Rio Tinto to pursue environment-friendly copper production using microorganisms

Amazon has signed a strategic partnership to use low-grade copper for data centre construction. On Jan. 19, online media outlet Gigazine reported that Amazon will work with Rio Tinto to adopt bioleaching technology that uses microorganisms to extract copper from ore. The technology, developed by Rio Tinto venture Nuton Technologies, could shorten supply chains and make low-grade ore economical. Nuton plans to produce 14,000 tonnes of copper in Arizona over four years, with Amazon as its first customer providing technical support and analytical capabilities.
