KakaoGames wins Gyeonggi province governor citation for supporting gaming assistive devices for people with disabilities

KakaoGames said on Monday it received a citation from the governor of Gyeonggi province for its Play Buddy Together programme, which supports assistive devices to improve game accessibility for people with disabilities. The company said the award recognises its contributions to expanding cultural access rights in the province. It said the programme has supported 608 gaming assistive devices for 96 people over three years and held an event on Jan. 8 to share results and cases.

Woori Bank launches non-face-to-face issuance of foreign exchange purchase certificate

Woori Bank said on Tuesday it has launched a service allowing individual customers to issue a foreign exchange purchase (deposit) certificate without visiting a branch. The certificate proves that foreign currency remitted from overseas, such as dollars, was exchanged and deposited through a domestic bank. It is required for some content creators, including YouTubers receiving advertising revenue from overseas platforms, when filing VAT to apply a zero tax rate.
