Hancom said on Tuesday it posted standalone first-quarter revenue of 46.5 billion won and operating profit of 17.6 billion won.

Revenue rose 2.4 percent from a year earlier and operating profit increased 2.7 percent. On a consolidated basis, it posted revenue of 63.6 billion won and operating profit of 8.5 billion won.

The company said its AI business segment led growth. Hancom has moved beyond its existing installed package software business and has been actively shifting to an AI- and cloud-centric focus. This year, it disclosed an annual revenue forecast of 210 billion won and is aiming to top 200 billion won in revenue for the first time since its founding.

The company stressed that key AI products, including document parsing and unstructured data extraction, are spreading in B2G and B2B markets seeking to build AI infrastructure.

Based on its AI business results, Hancom will release its next-generation vision, a "twin-type agentic OS," in the first half and push full-scale commercialisation within the year.

The "twin-type agentic OS" is a technology that implements a "digital twin (AI agent)" that replicates a user's work style. It is structured so the agent autonomously completes tasks 24 hours a day even after the user leaves work. The company said it will serve as an "intelligent control tower" that organically connects various AI models and existing work systems.

Hancom is also accelerating its push into global markets as its technology rapidly expands on the open-source community GitHub. The company said its Hancom Open Data Loader PDF recently surpassed 20,000 stars on GitHub and drew strong interest in the global AI market by unveiling what it called the first open-source AI-based PDF accessibility tag auto-generation feature.

Kim Yeon-su (김연수), Hancom's CEO, said the first-quarter 2026 results "show in clear numbers that Hancom is being re-evaluated as an AI technology company beyond a traditional software company." He said the company will focus its capabilities on developing the next-generation "agentic OS" and targeting global markets, building on its stable profit structure and the potential of its technology ecosystem confirmed on GitHub and elsewhere.
