Fasoo builds KIST AI service using on-premises AI platform Ellm

Fasoo said on Tuesday it has built an AI service for the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) based on its on-premises AI platform Ellm, applying the latest AI and data security technology. KIST aims to streamline internal administrative work and accelerate research as part of AX. The service provides a smart document search tool and an R&D plan draft-writing tool. Fasoo said it implemented security-focused RAG and privacy features.

Korea Oracle provides cloud to 4 local startups to support AI-based services

Korea Oracle said on Tuesday it provided Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to four South Korean startups: Neuroflow, Spoit, Yunhoe and ConnexioH. The firms were selected for the MIRACLE global corporate collaboration programme run with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, KISED and Seoul National University of Science and Technology. Korea Oracle said the startups used OCI to bolster AI-based technical capabilities and build a foundation for entering overseas markets.

Leadtek RTX PRO 4000 Blackwell SFF launches in South Korea for small workstations

Surin C&I, an importer and distributor of major computer components, launched Leadtek’s professional graphics card RTX PRO 4000 Blackwell SFF Edition D7 24GB in South Korea on Jan. 21. Based on Nvidia’s Blackwell architecture, it targets AI computing, data processing and creative workflows in small workstation environments. It includes 8,960 CUDA cores, 24GB GDDR7 ECC memory, PCIe 5.0 x8 support, and four mini DisplayPort 2.1b outputs.
