Hyperliquid plans prediction market expansion; HYPE token jumps

Decentralised derivatives trading platform Hyperliquid has announced plans to expand into prediction markets, Cointelegraph reported on Feb. 3. The plan took shape as HyperCore backed the HIP-4 proposal on Hyperliquid’s layer-1 network. The new feature would allow fully collateralised contracts to bet on markets such as political elections and sports. Hyperliquid said on X that it responds to strong user demand. The feature is being tested on a testnet and would settle in USDH after launch.

Musk's xAI needs SpaceX funding; space data centre still a dream

A merger between SpaceX and AI startup xAI led by Elon Musk (일론 머스크) appears on the surface to be a strategy to build a “space data centre,” but the more urgent need is to secure funding for AI infrastructure, CNBC reported on Tuesday. CNBC said the move reflects the huge capital required for AI. It cited SpaceX’s IPO plans and Starlink’s satellite deployments, and noted xAI’s losses through September 2025.

Tatum Security raises Series A bridge funding from Samsung Venture Investment, SJ Partners

Tatum Security, a cloud security company, said it raised Series A bridge funding from Samsung Venture Investment and SJ Partners in late December, but did not disclose the amount. The company said it provides solutions to address a range of security issues in cloud environments. It plans to speed up product upgrades, hiring and overseas expansion. It also aims to strengthen go-to-market efforts in enterprise and public-sector markets and targets tripling annual revenue.
